Target, US Settle Footwear Import Dispute

Law360, New York (October 9, 2009, 6:46 PM EDT) -- Target Stores and the U.S. government have reached a settlement over the duties for imports of footwear from China.

In a stipulated judgment filed Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, Target and the U.S. agreed that the entries of the imported merchandise would be reliquidated.

Refunds payable as a result of the judgment are to be paid with interest as provided for by law, and any other claims arising from the entries in the action are abandoned, according to the judgment.
