Flashlight Makers Settle Trademark Infringement Suit

Law360, New York (October 12, 2009, 6:56 PM EDT) -- TerraLUX Inc. has agreed to back down in a trademark infringement suit brought by light-emitting diode rival Streamlight Inc., promising not to use the word “stream” in any of its products, in addition to a host of other concessions.

On Friday, the two sides filed a motion to approve consent judgment in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania after reaching a truce over Streamlight's Stinger and SL line of flashlights and products whose trademarks it has owned since 1993 and 1987 respectively....
