CSX Liability Suit Against GE Gets Trimmed Down

Law360, New York (October 12, 2009, 5:54 PM EDT) -- A judge has dismissed two claims from a lawsuit filed by CSX Transportation Inc. seeking to put General Electric Co. on the hook for liability costs in connection with a freight train derailment.

In an opinion Thursday, Chief Judge Thomas B. Russell of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky tossed claims of contribution and apportionment of damages in the alternative from indemnification.
