DOC Cuts 2 Thai Shrimp Cos. From Duty Order

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 1:10 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has let Phatthana Frozen Food Co. Ltd. and Sea Wealth Frozen Food Co. Ltd. off the hook from an earlier order imposing anti-dumping duties on warmwater shrimp and prawns from Thailand.

In a final order that took effect Tuesday, the DOC stuck with a preliminary ruling in August that determined PFF and Sea Wealth should be excluded from the 2005 anti-dumping duty order because the companies were part of the Rubicon Group, which had already been cleared from having to pay...
