Alston & Bird Changes OT Policy For Staffers

Law360, New York (October 13, 2009, 5:50 PM EDT) -- Alston & Bird LLP has reportedly increased the threshold for its secretaries, professional staff and paralegals to start collecting overtime pay from 37.5 hours a week — or 35, in its New York office — to 40.

Effective Sept. 28, staffers in the firm's nine offices will have to work 40 hours before they can begin collecting overtime, according to a memo to employees posted online Tuesday at legal tabloid Above the Law.
