Ex-McAfee Treasurer Settles Fraud Charges

Law360, New York (November 1, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former finance officer for the troubled antivirus software company McAfee Inc. settled charges on Tuesday that he aided a multimillion dollar financial fraud at the company, the Securities and Exchange Commission said.

Eric G. Borrmann agreed to pay a fine of $757,563 and accept a five-year ban on serving as an officer of a public company.

The SEC filed the complaint against Bormann on Monday, and he agreed to settle the following day without admitting to or denying the allegations. The fee consists of $314,517...
