Insurance Co. Attorneys Brace For Class Actions

Law360, New York (October 14, 2009, 10:50 PM EDT) -- Insurance companies are increasingly worried about the impact of class actions on their industry, according to Fulbright & Jaworski LLP's 2009 Litigation Trends Survey.

As part of its sixth annual Litigation Trends survey, Fulbright said that 48 percent of general counsel and heads of litigation at companies in the insurance field reported that they were worried about class actions. The participants were responding to a request to identify three to five types of legal disputes that most concern their companies.
