Meat Co. Recalls Ground Beef Over E. Coli Concerns

Law360, New York (October 14, 2009, 5:30 PM EDT) -- The San Diego Meat Co. is recalling about 925 pounds of ground beef that could be contaminated with E. coli, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced.

In a news release Wednesday, the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service said the products subject to recall included 15-pound cases of San Diego Meat Ground Beef Patties and 10-pound bags of San Diego Meat Bulk Ground Beef.

Bob Watkins, owner of the San Diego-based meat company, said San Diego Meat had never had to recall a product before....
