Whirlpool Dodges Damages In Fastener Contract Spat

Law360, New York (October 15, 2009, 5:54 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has ruled that Whitesell Corp. is not entitled to punitive damages for its breach of contract claims in a multimillion-dollar dispute with Whirlpool Corp. over the washing machine maker's contract to buy Whitesell's screws, nails, nuts and bolts.
