Black Firefighter Sues New Haven Over Promotion Test

Law360, New York (October 15, 2009, 7:33 PM EDT) -- The 2003 fire lieutenant examination in New Haven, Conn., is once again at the center of a discrimination lawsuit, this one filed by a black firefighter who claims that he was unfairly denied a promotion because of the way the city scored the exam.
