US, Conn. Settle With 91 Parties Over Superfund Site

Law360, New York (October 16, 2009, 6:10 PM EDT) -- The U.S. government and the state of Connecticut have reached two consent decrees resolving environmental claims against 91 defendants in connection with the cleanup of a contaminated landfill in Southington, Conn.

In a Federal Register notice Friday, the U.S. Department of Justice said it had filed two consent decrees Oct. 6. in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut that would resolve claims against the potentially responsible parties under the federal Superfund law.
