Arco Sets Up IP Practice In Shanghai JV

Law360 (October 22, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Kobe-based Arco Patent Office, in joint venture with the Shanghai-based Zhongda Law Office, has started offering legal services covering intellectual property in China, primarily for Japanese corporations, Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported.

Arco will handle filings for patents, utility models, designs and trademarks as well as related litigation, primarily from Japanese and U.S. companies.

Under Arco's guidance, Zhongda Law Office has set up an in-house intellectual property department, hired three patent attorneys and obtained permits to provide intellectual property-related services in China, according to the Nihon...
