AIG, National Fire Win Dismissal Of Lifeline Suit

Law360, New York (October 19, 2009, 5:39 PM EDT) -- A court has dismissed a breach of insurance contract case against AIG Domestic Claims Inc. and National Union Fire Insurance Co., ruling that plaintiff Lifeline Health Group Inc. failed to state a claim under the language of its directors and officers, corporate liability, and employment practices liability insurance.

District Judge Thomas Russell of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky granted the defendants' motion to dismiss on Friday, rejecting Lifeline's argument that AIG and National Union misapplied coverage exclusions in the company's policies....
