Long-Dormant Bakeware Duties Case Revived

Law360, New York (October 19, 2009, 8:11 PM EDT) -- Cake decorating equipment and bakeware company Wilton Industries Inc. is reviving several long-dormant import tariff disputes after a federal appeals court issued a favorable ruling for the company in a similar case against the government two years ago.

Judge Delissa Ridgway of the U.S. Court of International Trade on Friday ordered that the suspension on the cases be lifted and that Wilton combine the six outstanding cases, the first of which was filed in 2001, in a consolidated complaint by Oct. 23.
