Ousted US Atty Berman To Teach Legal Ethics At Stanford

Law360 (July 15, 2020, 9:18 PM EDT) -- After being ousted from his job as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York last month following a showdown with U.S. Attorney General William Barr, Geoffrey Berman will join Stanford Law School to teach a legal ethics course and work as a fellow at a corporate governance think tank, the school announced Wednesday.

Berman, who graduated from Stanford Law School in 1984, will teach a course on ethics and discretion in federal criminal prosecutions this fall, and will also contribute to the work of the school's Rock Center for Corporate Governance as a visiting fellow, according to a Wednesday news release....
