Latham-Led PE Firm's 3rd Fund Closes At Cap With $282M
Law360 (July 16, 2020, 6:15 PM EDT) -- Latham & Watkins LLP-assisted private equity firm Guardian Capital Partners said Thursday that it closed its third fund with $282 million, citing higher than anticipated demand from unnamed existing and new institutional investors.
The Pennsylvania-based Guardian Capital Partners said its Fund III has already purchased two businesses — Oregon-based shelter structure maker Western Shelter Systems and Michigan-based consumer products distributor Flat River Group.
Peter Haabestad, the firm's co-founder and managing partner, thanked his team and the company's limited partners for their participation in the funding round even as the coronavirus pandemic continues to create an uncertain economic market.
