Pa. Fines Cabot For 3 Gas Well Spills

Law360, New York (October 22, 2009, 5:16 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has fined natural gas producer Cabot Oil and Gas Corp. $56,650 for three chemical spills at its facility in Susquehanna County.

The spills released in one week in September a total of 8,000 gallons of a water-and-gel mixture at the Houston-based company's Heitsman natural gas well, according to a statement from the DEP.
