E-Rewards To Shell Out $139M For Research Now

Law360, New York (October 23, 2009, 4:51 PM EDT) -- British consumer research provider Research Now PLC has agreed to be purchased by U.S. competitor e-Rewards Inc. for about $139 million in cash, e-Rewards said Friday.

Under the terms of the deal, Dallas-based e-Rewards will provide 430 pence per share, for a total of about ₤85 million ($139 million), representing a premium of about 30 percent over Research Now's ordinary share closing price on Sept. 4.

Both companies assemble and provide consumer review panels to companies pursuing product and marketing research.
