Minn. Court Says Medtronic Plaintiffs' Claims Preempted

Law360 (October 26, 2009, 4:23 PM EDT) -- In a ruling that mirrors a federal court decision, a Minnesota state judge has dismissed 10 representative suits against Medtronic Inc. over allegedly faulty Sprint Fidelis defibrillator leads, finding that claims brought by dozens of plaintiffs are preempted.
