EU Shoe-Dumping Duties Vote Set For Nov. 19

Law360, New York (October 26, 2009, 6:30 PM EDT) -- The trade experts committee in the European Union is reportedly set to vote on Nov. 19 on whether to extend anti-dumping duties on leather shoes from China and Vietnam.

According to Dow Jones, which cited anonymous EU diplomats in Brussels, some countries opposed to the duties, including several Scandinavian nations and the U.K., have been trying to encourage other countries to oppose the European Commission's plan to extend the duties ahead of the vote.
