'Commercial Tech' Incentives For Renewable Energy

Law360, New York (October 28, 2009, 2:50 PM EDT) -- On Oct. 7, 2009, the U.S. Department of Energy issued a solicitation inviting the submission of applications for loan guarantees for “commercial technology renewable energy” (CTRE) projects.

This solicitation was issued under Section 1705 of Title XVII of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, as amended by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. It is significant because:
