Qualitest Expands Recall To 250M Syringes

Law360, New York (October 28, 2009, 2:56 PM EDT) -- Generic-drug and medical device manufacturer Qualitest Pharmaceuticals Inc. has expanded a recall of its Accusure insulin syringes to include as many as 250 million syringes made in the last seven years, after receiving additional reports of needles coming loose during use.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday put out a release announcing the recall, which includes all Accusure syringes distributed between January and October 2009 to wholesale and retail pharmacies nationwide and in Puerto Rico.
