Harsco Launches Joint Construction Venture In China

Law360, New York (October 28, 2009, 7:21 PM EDT) -- Harsco Corp. agreed to a joint construction partnership Wednesday with Chinese company Zhejiang Construction Materials and Equipment Co., in an event that was presided over in Hangzhou, China, by U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk.

The agreement signifies the growing cooperation between U.S. and Chinese construction firms and the increasing opportunities for American business exports to China, according to a statement from the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.
