Bayer Unit Sues Rivals Over Fungicide Patents

Law360, New York (October 29, 2009, 12:52 PM EDT) -- Bayer CropScience LP has accused two other environmental companies, Tessenderlo Kerley Inc. and Phoenix Environmental Care LLC, of copying its ingredients for fungicides for grasses, plants and crops and using a brand name that is similar to Bayer's.

Bayer filed its complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, hitting the two companies with claims of patent, trademark and copyright infringement.
