Appeals Court Grants EEOC Win Against Nursing Home

Law360 (November 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a victory for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and a blow to a nursing home that fired a cook after learning she had hepatitis C, a federal appeals court has reversed a lower court's decision to prohibit a jury from considering whether to award punitive damages.
