CIT Won't Toss Fight Over Duties On Horizon Ship Work

Law360, New York (October 30, 2009, 2:40 PM EDT) -- A U.S. Court of International Trade judge has denied the government's request to toss a lawsuit brought by Horizon Lines LLC challenging duties it was charged for work done to the hull of a cargo ship.

In an order Thursday, Judge Evan J. Wallach denied the bid by the U.S. Department of Justice and Customs and Border Protection for summary judgment in the case. The judge did not offer his reasoning in the order.
