U.S. Supreme Court Rejects Materna Case

Law360 (April 19, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a stinging blow to Wyeth, the U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear the drug maker’s appeal of a $58.2 million patent infringement judgment awarded to the University of Colorado over the maternity supplement Materna.

The decision marks the end for Wyeth’s 10-year battle over Materna, a supplement that has earned the company hundreds of millions of dollars.
