Conn. AG To Look Into Flu Vaccine Price-Gouging

Law360, New York (November 2, 2009, 5:26 PM EST) -- Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal released a statement Monday saying he would investigate whether producers of seasonal flu vaccines, in limited supply this year because of the H1N1 virus, are charging unfair prices or giving preferential treatment to big retailers.

Blumenthal said his office had received complaints from consumers claiming they were forced to pay more than $100 for doses of the vaccine, as well as allegations that that distributors and manufacturers have reneged on price agreements by demanding new, higher prices.
