Windstream To Acquire NuVox For $643 Million

Law360, New York (November 3, 2009, 2:29 PM EST) -- Windstream Corp. will acquire rural broadband provider NuVox Inc. for $643 million in a cash-and-stock deal, the companies announced Tuesday.

The telecommunications company will issue $183 million in fixed shares of stock and $280 million in cash to acquire NuVox and will assume an estimated debt of $180 million, Windstream said in a statement.
