Creditors Try To Throw Wrench In Eurotunnel’s Plan

Law360, New York (November 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A group of senior Eurotunnel creditors has tried to challenge the restructuring proposal recently set forth by the beleaguered channel operator by throwing an unexpected obstacle in its path.

The splinter creditors, which allegedly include a “significant” holder of Eurotunnel debt, have filed an objection with the Paris Commercial Court protesting their inclusion in a financial creditors' committee, the Guardian reported Thursday.

Eurotunnel shipped off its restructuring plan proposal to creditors at the end of October after months of negotiation.
