Lock Co. Seeks To Block Reseller’s Antitrust Claims

Law360, New York (November 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A manufacturer of an electronic access control system has brought a declaratory judgment action against a disgruntled reseller that contended that its termination broke federal antitrust and price discrimination laws.

Videx Inc. filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon on Wednesday, claiming that it did not violate the Sherman Act by its termination of Cyber Access Control LLC, which resold Videx’ CyberLock system, which tracks and controls access of locks in a facility.
