Pharma Stalls U.S., Korean Free Trade Talks

Law360 (November 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- U.S. and Korean negotiators are struggling to bridge their differences in talks to amend South Korea’s regulatory regime for patented drugs, according to sources close to the negotiations.

The talks, part of negotiations between U.S. and South Korea for a Free Trade Agreement, have stalled because both parties think their differences are too great to be bridged without major concessions, said a lawyer in Seoul who has been advising the government on the talks.
