Rambus Grabs General Counsel From Xilinx

Law360, New York (November 10, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- After three-and-a-half months, Rambus Inc. has found a replacement for its former general counsel and senior vice president John Danforth, who stepped down from his position in late July.

Danforth’s replacement, Thomas R. Lavelle, will take the reins of the legal department at the Silicon Valley-based technology company, overseeing securities, compliance, intellectual property and litigation.

Rambus lured Lavelle away from his position as general counsel and senior vice president of Xilinx Inc., one of the largest suppliers of programmable chips, where he had worked since 1999....
