US, Russia To Work Closely On Competition

Law360, New York (November 11, 2009, 5:16 PM EST) -- U.S. antitrust authorities reached an agreement Wednesday with Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service to improve communication between the agencies on competition policy and enforcement issues, the first understanding of its kind between the two countries.

While visiting Washington, FAS Head Igor Artemiev signed a memorandum of understanding with the representatives from the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission, solidifying the countries’ commitment to cooperating on antitrust issues.
