ITC Hands Phicom Win In Probe Card Patent Case

Law360, New York (November 13, 2009, 2:32 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has adopted an administrative law judge's determination that probe card assemblies and flash memory chips made by Phicom Corp. don't infringe any valid FormFactor Inc. patents.

The commission on Thursday partly reversed a finding by Administrative Law Judge Charles E. Bullock that certain Phicom products didn't infringe one FormFactor patent, but also found that the patent was invalid due to anticipation.

It also affirmed the judge's decision of noninfringement as to a second patent.
