Wyeth, Schwarz Off Hook In Generic Reglan Suit

Law360, New York (November 16, 2009, 5:20 PM EST) -- Wyeth Inc. and Schwarz Pharma Inc. have prevailed again in a lawsuit that alleged the brand-name pharmaceutical companies should have warned consumers that a copycat version of their anti-heartburn medicine Reglan could cause an incurable neurological disorder.

The ruling, issued by Judge John Copenhaver Jr. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on Friday, granted the drug makers their bid for summary judgment after they had argued that they weren't responsible for the harmful side effects of generic versions of Reglan....
