Finance Professionals 'Not Confident' On Employers' ESG

Law360, London (January 14, 2021, 6:02 PM GMT) -- More than two-thirds of workers in the British financial services sector cannot say whether their business is committed to ethical finance or environmentally friendly policies, according to a survey by a trade group.

Seventy per cent of professionals surveyed by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment said they were "not confident" that their employer is committed to conducting ethical finance policies and so-called environmental, social and corporate governance principles.

Only 20% said they were "confident" about ESG practices at their firm and 10% stated they were "neutral," according to the survey of 563 professionals published on Wednesday.
