Girardi Keese Co-Counsel Wants OK To Rep Gas Leak Clients

Law360 (January 20, 2021, 11:18 PM EST) -- A law firm representing victims of Southern California gas leaks argued Tuesday that it should not be hindered by the stay levied against its bankrupt co-counsel Girardi Keese, despite objections from one of Girardi Keese's creditors.

Frantz Law Group APLC told a California federal bankruptcy court, over the opposition of litigation funder Virage SPV1 LLC, that it should be allowed to advise its existing clients in the case about the "recent events" concerning Girardi Keese, and that they can fire the now-insolvent law firm while continuing to work with Frantz.
