SEC Investigates Insider Trading Of SVB Securities

Law360, New York (November 18, 2009, 2:45 PM EST) -- SVB Financial Group has revealed that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is looking into the possibility of insider trading in the financial holding company's securities in July.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based SVB said in an SEC filing Wednesday that it had received a written inquiry from the commission's San Francisco office in connection with the investigation.

The company said it intended to cooperate and was in the process of gathering information to respond to the SEC.
