Judge Lets SC Port Expansion Continue — For Now

Law360, New York (November 19, 2009, 3:45 PM EST) -- A federal judge has decided not to halt construction of a port expansion project in North Charleston, S.C., but declined to rule out future injunctions as the legal battle continues.

Judge C. Weston Houck of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina on Tuesday denied with leave to refile the South Carolina Coastal Conservation League's motion for a preliminary injunction on the project.
