China's Free Patent Dispute Program Ignored By U.S.

Law360, New York (November 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- U.S. and European patent holders are vastly underutilizing China’s system for handling patent disputes out of court, according to U.S. lawyers advising foreign clients in China.

The free procedure is extremely popular among Chinese companies for ending cut-and-dried disputes that many American and European companies either tackle with full-scale legal campaigns or choose to avoid altogether.
