Clean Air Act Suit Over Pa. Steel Plant Settled

Law360, New York (November 23, 2009, 4:49 PM EST) -- The federal government and the Allegheny County Health Department settled Monday with Allegheny Ludlum Corp. and contractor Harsco Corp. in a suit over alleged fugitive emissions from a Pennsylvania steel slag dump.

The parties filed a consent decree Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania to resolve a suit the government filed Friday accusing the companies of violating the Clean Air Act at Allegheny Ludlum's steel production facility in Natrona, Pa.
