EU Raids Czech Power Giant CEZ In Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (November 24, 2009, 1:57 PM EST) -- The European Commission has initiated an antitrust probe into Czech power giant CEZ AS, raiding the company's offices over concerns that it broke competition laws in the country’s electricity sector.

On Tuesday, the EC revealed that it had made a surprise visit to CEZ headquarters and other companies amid suspicion that anti-competitive activity is afoot in the Czech Republic.
