McKesson Can Pursue Suit V. Iran Over Dairy Plant

Law360, New York (November 24, 2009, 1:47 PM EST) -- A U.S. district judge has ruled on remand that McKesson Corp. has causes of action under Iranian law and international law in a 27-year-old suit over the Iranian government's alleged expropriation of McKesson's stake in an Iranian dairy.

U.S. District Judge Richard J. Leon of the District of Columbia filed the ruling Monday, finding that the Act of State Doctrine, which holds that a nation is sovereign within its own borders, does not prevent the court from hearing McKesson's claims.
