Court's Ruling In Patent Spat A Success For AMD

Law360 (November 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The federal judge overseeing the patent battle between Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and OKI America Inc. handed down a ruling absolving AMD of any liability in the case on Monday.

The case hinges on six patents, three of which are assigned to AMD, and three of which are assigned to OKI. All six patents were at issue in the summary judgment motions before the court.
