Linerboard Attys' Fees Fracas Tumbles Into 3rd Circ.

Law360, New York (November 30, 2009, 6:58 PM EST) -- Two antitrust attorneys feuding over fees from a $202 million antitrust class action settlement over linerboard headed before a federal appeals court Monday, opening a new front in a drawn-out battle over the liaison counsel’s distribution of the settlement.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit heard arguments from disgruntled attorney for the plaintiffs John F. Peoples, as well as from Howard Langer, the liaison counsel in a multidistrict litigation over alleged price-fixing in the linerboard industry in violation of the Sherman Act....
