Stryker To Buy Medical Device Reprocessor For $525M

Law360, New York (November 30, 2009, 1:04 PM EST) -- Stryker Corp. said on Monday that it would pay $525 million for Ascent Healthcare Solutions Inc., a medical device remanufacturer, in an all-cash transaction that will create a new division within the medical technology maker.

Stryker, based in Kalamazoo, Mich., announced that it had reached a definitive agreement to buy up the privately held Ascent, which reprocesses and remanufactures cardiovascular, orthopedics, gastroenterology and other surgical devices.
