EU Approves Syngenta's Modified Corn For Import

Law360, New York (November 30, 2009, 4:40 PM EST) -- The European Commission has approved Syngenta AG's modified corn variety MIR604 for importation into the European states but refused to lift a ban on growing the product inside the European Union.

The company's North American spokesperson, Paul Minehart, confirmed the decision to Law360 on Monday, saying the company was pleased by the Commission's approval.
