Patton Boggs Reveals Associate Bonuses, Salary Cuts

Law360, New York (December 2, 2009, 5:00 PM EST) -- Patton Boggs LLP will award bonuses of $5,000 to $45,000 to associates who exceed their billable-hour goals, but will reduce salaries for associates and legal professionals who have not met their targets, the firm announced Wednesday.

Associate bonuses will depend on class year and the number of hours by which an individual target was exceeded, and the firm will offer merit bonuses in January 2010 as part of the associate evaluation process, Patton Boggs said in a statement.
