Ore. Seeks To Take Pollution Case Out Of Court

Law360, New York (December 3, 2009, 1:40 PM EST) -- Oregon is joining Chevron USA Inc. and ConocoPhillips Co. in urging a federal court to force other companies potentially responsible for pollution on a 10-mile swath of the Willamette River to participate in an alternative dispute resolution process to determine how much they should pay for the cleanup.
